cultural Heritage
The Burton Constable Estate has been home to the Constable family for 800 years. Burton Constable Hall was built in 1570, and was modernized by William Constable c.1770, using famous architects (Wyatt & Lightoller), cabinet makers (Chippendale) and landscapers (Capability Brown) of the day. Filled with collections from European Grand Tours & scientific discoveries, the Hall is a treasure trove. William’s descendants were ambitious and adventurous too, adding layers of fun and interest in the Hall, Stables and the surrounding Parkland. Opened in 1968, the Holiday Park created the ability to holiday with us, and for us to offer many fresh activities besides.
