Right in the middle of Hull’s City Centre is the Ferens Art Gallery. Completely free to enter, you’ll find an impressive collection of sculptures and paintings. Within the works on display, you’ll find works by European Old Masters, portraits, old maritime paintings and more contemporary works.

The Ferens regularly has temporary displays on offer, showing works from around the globe, including the annual local Open Exhibition, where local artists can submit their own pieces.

There is also a pleasant café where you can grab a drink and a bite to eat.
