9.    Immerse yourself in history

The Burton Constable Estate has been home to the Constable family for 800 years. Burton Constable Hall was built in 1570, and was modernized by William Constable c.1770, using famous architects (Wyatt & Lightoller), cabinet makers (Chippendale) and landscapers (Capability Brown) of the day. Filled with collections from European Grand Tours & scientific discoveries, the Hall is a treasure trove. William’s descendants were ambitious and adventurous too, adding layers of fun and interest in the Hall, Stables and the surrounding Parkland. Opened in 1968, the Holiday Park created the ability to holiday with us, and for us to offer many fresh activities besides.

The Holiday Park continues to be family run, and in 2019 added a 5th pennant to it’s AA camping rating, adds to its 5 star Holiday Park status. Future plans and future generations will continue the tradition of new ideas and innovations at Burton Constable, we believe, for centuries to come.
