Everyone loves a holiday, right? Now imagine being able to whisk yourself and your loved ones on a holiday for as long as you want, whenever you want. That is the freedom of owning a holiday home.

Staycations are becoming increasingly popular among Brits. Yorkshire, with its stunning scenery, quaint market towns and cities brimming with history and heritage, is the ideal location for a holiday home.

Choose a staycation for your vacation

Taking a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life with a holiday is often a great source of excitement for many people. Thinking about your vacation is a great way to push through a heavy workload, and going away has become much easier with the ever-increasing popularity of the staycation.

Domestic travellers in the UK made up 96% of the UK’s total travel and tourism expenditure in 2021, an increase of 15% from 2019. While Covid-19 has much to do with this figure, the staycation will be around for a long time.

Imagine travelling without feeling jet-lagged from the shift in time zone or burnt out from spending hours on a plane. Easy travel is a significant benefit of holidaying in your home country. These holidays are made even more hassle-free when you own a holiday home.

What are the benefits of owning a holiday home in Yorkshire?

Whether you’re a seasoned staycationer or have just begun holidaying in the UK, you can still benefit greatly from owning a holiday home in Yorkshire.

Personal Retreat

Owning a holiday home in East Yorkshire can provide you with your own personal retreat to escape your busy life, prioritise your mental health and unwind in a beautiful setting.

Comfortable and familiar setting

Another significant advantage of owning a holiday lodge is that you can decorate it however you want to create a comfortable home away from home. The familiar setting can allow you to relax in a space filled with personal touches and cherished memories.

Easy Holidays

With your own holiday home, going on holiday will become so much easier. There will be no more stress from comparing hotels and flights. Instead, you can jump in your car for a planned or spontaneous trip without booking ahead. Even packing becomes simple as most of what you need will already be at your holiday lodge, waiting for you.

Community

An additional perk of owning a holiday home is finding a community of holiday homeowners who can quickly become your friends. You will meet like-minded people to connect with. This makes the holiday park more than just a holiday destination but a second home and a chance to spend time with people you would have never met otherwise.

Cost Effective

A holiday home provides guaranteed accommodation in your favourite destination, and if you visit regularly enough, your holiday home can soon pay for itself. According to Evolution Money, a family of four typically spends over ÂŁ4000 a year for just a two-week break. Owning a holiday home means you can vacation as often as you would like.

Holiday homes East Yorkshire: Burton Constable Holiday Park

As well as hosting beautiful luxury holiday homes in Yorkshire, Burton Constable Holiday Park offers access to 18th-century attractions. This includes lakes, an arboretum, and walled gardens. In addition to this, the holiday park has various amenities for holiday-goers’ convenience.

The arboretum was initially commissioned by William Constable (1721-1791), who was inspired by the botanical gardens in Versailles, Hampton Court and the baroque splendours of Het Loo. The arboretum was recently rejuvenated to include new species of trees to combat plant damage due to global warming. The different plants are divided into avenues representing the rooms at Burton Constable Hall, and an interactive map shows visitors historical information about the rooms of the Hall and the tree which represents them.

The two lakes in the holiday park are currently being rejuvenated. The lakes were created from small fish ponds between 1769 and 1782 and are lined with Burton Constable bricks. Phase one of rejuvenation has already been completed, allowing fishing to return to the park. Ongoing efforts to restore the lakes bring excitement regarding the comeback of fishing competitions.

The Walled Gardens were designed and built during the Capability Brown interventions and are now a pleasure garden for holiday homeowners to visit and relax.

As well as having access to these historically rich attractions, holiday homeowners at this East Yorkshire-based park have numerous amenities at their disposal.
