What Does It Cost To Move My Holiday Home To BCHP?

A breakdown of costs

  • Pitch Premium – £0 (promotional pitches) to £25,000 (lakeview pitches).
  • Contractors costs – transport, siting, levelling, connecting (typically around £2,500).
  • Pro-rata pitch fees – paying for the cost of services for the rest of the season (waived for 2024 season).
  • Disconnection fee – whatever your holiday park will charge to disconnect your holiday home and move it to a place transporters can pick it up.
  • Decking – if you want to transport and refit your current uPVC decking, or buy a new decking for your holiday home, this is a cost to consider either immediately or further down the line.

Why do you charge a pitch premium?

The basic “bronze” pitch premium at Burton Constable Holiday Park is £5,000, while high-demand pitches e.g. next to the lake can have premiums as high as £25,000.

Our business is selling holiday homes and holidays, so you’ll understand it doesn’t make sense for people to bring a holiday home to our pitches without paying a premium (selling on the pitch would otherwise have brought us a profit).

However, we are sympathetic to people who have invested in holiday homes they love, but on parks that they don’t love any more – so we allow a certain number of people to bring their holiday homes to us each year to have a much happier time with us. We even have some pitches that we are offering for free to promote this initiative.

For these customers, paying a bring-on premium and contractor costs can be easier and cheaper than selling their holiday home and buying one with us – and in some cases, the difference in pitch fees between our parks and others can be a saving even considering the moving costs.
